Service

KPI Tracking and Reporting

Every business has three or four numbers that move before the bank balance does. The work is finding yours, tracking them honestly, and putting them in front of you while there is still time to act.

Reported

Monthly, with the statements

Typical list

Three to five measures

Chosen

With you, not from a template

What we do

What This Covers

Not a dashboard full of everything. A short list of the measures that actually tell you something.

The measures that predict your results identified with you, not handed down from a template

A baseline established so you can see movement rather than a single number

Tracked and reported every month alongside the financial statements

Plain commentary on what moved and what it probably means

Early flags when a measure moves the wrong way

The list revisited as the business changes, so it does not go stale

Good fit if

You find out about problems when the bank balance drops

You have reports but no idea which numbers matter

You are making decisions on instinct and want something to check them against

You want to see a bad month coming rather than explaining it afterwards

Our Approach

How It Works

Step 1

Free consultation

A short call about how the business makes money and what you currently watch.

Step 2

Choose the measures

A short list agreed together, weighted toward the things that move before revenue does.

Step 3

Build the baseline

History pulled from the books so the first report shows a trend rather than a single figure.

Step 4

Monthly reporting

The measures reported each month with plain commentary, and a flag when something moves against you.

Where we work

Available Across East Texas, Dallas and Orange County

The practice is remote, so the county you are in decides very little. These are the areas Kathryn works in most.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How many measures should I be tracking?

Usually three to five. A long list gets ignored, and most of the numbers on it are describing the same thing twice.

Do I need special software?

Not usually. For most small businesses the measures come out of the bookkeeping that is already being done, and the reporting is a page you can read in two minutes.

What if I do not know which numbers matter?

That is the normal starting point and most of what the first conversation is for. The measures come out of how your business actually makes money, which is something you already know even if you have never written it down.
