Nothing needs to be tidy first. Showing up with a mess is the normal starting point.
What happens on the first call?
Kathryn asks what the business does, where the books stand and what you actually need the reporting to tell you. You get an honest answer about whether she is the right fit. There is no charge and nothing to sign.
How long does it take?
Usually around half an hour. Longer if the situation warrants it.
What if the books are a disaster?
That is the most common reason people call. Catching up is a defined piece of work with a start and an end, quoted before anything begins.
Those hours are unusual. Why?
They are set to cover a full working day on Pacific time as well as the Texas afternoon and evening, which suits owners who cannot talk during their own business hours. If they do not suit you, say so when you book and something can usually be arranged.
